Migraine? What’s that?

I’ve been a contributing columnist for The Irish Times since 2019. The column loosely explores my experience of living with chronic migraine. Sometimes, however, it verges off path, to discuss things like why I like watching men eating ice cream, and how I became deranged by my printer.

(I was also lucky enough to occupy the guest slot in the Irish Times Weekend Magazine in 2021)

Have a look at some examples of my work…

I also intermittently write features for the Irish Times and other publications including The Business Post, The Journal.ie, and The Fader.

These vary from a literary festival in Magaluf to a look at how multi-sensory learning specialists translated their work to the digital realm during the pandemic to a meat and Guinness festival in Dublin 8.

And yes, I am a vegetarian…

Speaking of migraine, I’ve also undertaken advocacy work to promote migraine awareness (RTE, formerly TV3, TG4, NewsNation USA) and to promote the welfare of artists with disabilities (Dáil Éireann, The Arts Council)
